Hello, my name is Viktoria Manukovi, and I am a volunteer from Georgia at InCo Molfetta.
My volunteering journey has brought me to Molfetta, where I have the opportunity to be part of an international community and contribute to the work of the organization’s office. My main responsibilities include supporting social media development, engaging with the community, attracting new participants, assisting with event organization, and helping to share the impact of our activities.
Although I have been in Molfetta for only two months, this experience has already given me a strong sense of belonging and purpose. Every day, I feel more connected to my role as a volunteer and understand how valuable my contribution can be. I have discovered that my voice matters — that my ideas, opinions, and perspectives are listened to, respected, and appreciated.
One of the most important things for me during this journey has been feeling that I can create an impact. Volunteering has given me the space to express myself, share positive messages, and contribute to a more informed, inclusive, and connected community. Through my actions, I want to promote opportunities, spread useful information, and encourage people to become more engaged in society.
One of the most meaningful experiences I have had so far was organizing an event dedicated to the Georgian community living in Molfetta. This event allowed me to introduce Georgian history, culture, traditions, and the identity of Georgian people to the Italian community and to volunteers from different countries.
Representing my country in an international environment is a great honor for me. I believe that cultural exchange is not only about sharing traditions and stories — it is about creating understanding, breaking stereotypes, and building connections between people. Through this experience, I have been able to share the voice of Georgian youth and show the richness, unity, and strength of my culture.
An important part of my journey has also been sharing my voice through Radio F-Gen, the podcast connected with the organization. Together with my fellow volunteer, I had the opportunity to record a podcast discussing different perspectives on the European Union from both European and non-European citizens.
Participating in this podcast was a very special moment for me because I could represent young people from Georgia and share our experiences, thoughts, and hopes regarding Europe and our relationship with the European Union. It is a great privilege to have a platform where I can communicate these ideas and create a dialogue with people from different backgrounds.
I believe that this is only the beginning, and I hope to continue using my voice to talk about important topics, share experiences, and connect with more people throughout my volunteering journey.
For me, volunteering is much more than a project — it is a personal journey of self-discovery. It is the moment when I listened to my inner voice and followed a wish I had for a long time: to participate in an international experience where I could learn, contribute, and grow.
This adventure is teaching me that every person has the power to create change, even through small actions. I want to continue learning from different cultures, sharing my own background, and using every opportunity I receive to make a positive contribution to society.
My voice is my tool for connection, my culture is my bridge to others, and my volunteering experience in Molfetta is helping me understand how meaningful it can be to share both. My journey in Molfetta continues, and I will keep using every opportunity to share, learn, and make my voice heard.
