My ESC Journey in Molfetta, Italy 🇮🇹

From November 2024 to June 2025, I volunteered in Molfetta with Appoggiati a Me, supporting people with disabilities through daily activities like cooking, sports, and creative tasks. At first, I barely spoke Italian, but I learned quickly through real-life conversations, courses, and tandem exchanges.

I co-created two personal projects: a cultural cooking day and In Veste di Puglia—a fashion and identity project sharing local stories through street photography. These allowed me to express myself creatively and connect with the community in meaningful ways.

Living with other ESC volunteers taught me resilience, openness, and how to navigate emotional and cultural challenges. This journey helped me grow more confident, emotionally aware, and inspired to keep exploring the world—and myself.
